WALCOTT RESPONDS TO QUESTION ABOUT HIS FUTURE

Southampton midfielder Theo Walcott has given a subtle and unrevealing response when asked about his fire, with rumors currently insinuating that he will not be returning to Everton in the summer. The midfielder left Goodison Park last summer and joined Southampton on loan where he agreed to spend the rest of the current campaign, but it's not looking like he will be returning to Everton because it appears he's no longer needed there.

The former Arsenal midfielder became a liability at Everton since Carlo Ancelotti took over and was no longer trusted to feature in games for the Merseyside outfit. After considering that he needed to start playing games, he requested to leave the club and Southampton were the only side that needed him, causing him to return to the club where his football journey started.

Since Walcott joined Southampton, he has established himself as one of the club's best players, and it's looking like the Saints want to keep him beyond the end of his current contract. Recently, he suffered an injury and missed a couple of games for the Saints. His absence was felt as they lacked that threat in the attack which he brings to the table. His pace and ability to dish out good crosses were both missed in their next couple of games and manager Ralph Hassenhütl admitted that they had kissed him in his absence.

He then made a return from the injury and returned to the starting team. Since then he has once again shown why he is an important asset to the Saints squad. He was recently asked about his future and he only responded by saying he does not know what the future holds but he is currently enjoying his football and his stay at Southampton.
