WALCOTT REPORTEDLY CERTAIN TO LEAVE EVERTON

Everton winger Theo Walcott has been confirmed to be leaving Goodison Park in the summer according to a wide range of reports. The English forward is currently playing for Everton's Premier League rivals Southampton and has been at the St Mary's since the beginning of the season after joining them on a season-long loan since last summer. A move to the Saints is probably what the former Arsenal attacker needed as he has not only been given more playing opportunities, but he has also shown that he still has some qualities as well.

Southampton manager Ralph Hassenhüttl has confirmed that he likes the player and that the club are welcoming the idea of Walcott extending his stay beyond his loan deal and also revealed last month that they will be holding talks with him and his agent in the near future. Although there has not been any update about the transfer talks between the club and the player, it is still looking likely that he will be a full-fledged Southampton player in the 2021-22 Premier League season.

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti subtly confirmed in an interview earlier in the season that the club were doing well without Walcott in the team, providing a major hint that he would not be returning to Goodison Park after his loan spell on the South coast.

The only problem that could hinder Southampton from signing Walcott on a permanent deal is his wage demands. But as long as they could address and iron out the issue in their contract negotiations, then it would no longer be a problem for both parties.

The 32-tear-old winger would also love the idea of continuing his career at Southampton, knowing fully well that he would not be getting enough game time if he returns to Everton this summer.
