WALCOTT BACKS MIYAICHI

Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has said that he expects Arsenal's Japanese winger Ryo Miyaichi to play a major part at Arsenal next season.

Ryo Miyaichi is currently on a loan deal at Bolton Wanderers till the end of the season. He has been doing extremely well according to Theo Walcott, as he has been providing fear within the hearts of defenders with his runs. The successful loan spell at Bolton has enriched the careers of Daniel Sturridge and Jack Wilshire. Theo Walcott believes it will be the case with Ryo Miyaichi as well when he returns from his loan spell next season.

Ryo Miyaichi played a few matches for Arsenal this season before joining Bolton Wanderers in the January transfer window. Since then, he has been responsible for the uplift in the form for Bolton in the last few weeks. Bolton had just won their third consecutive match in the league, which has helped them get out of the bottom three. Ryo Miyaichi has scored own goal and created two others in his eight appearances for Bolton since January. It is this form that has made Theo Walcott believe that he could be a regular for Arsenal next season. Walcott has also said that he is highly impressed by the way Miyaichi dealt with things after seeing Fabrice Muamba collapse on the pitch.

"Ryo has done very well at Bolton. The way he is playing, there are full backs out there now who are thinking, ‘I don’t want to play against him this week'. It is hard for such a young kid to go there and do what he is doing, showing no fear with everything that happened at Tottenham [with Fabrice Muamba]. It is hard and it has probably hit him definitely," said Theo Walcott.
